MycoBank is an on-line database aimed as a service to the mycological and scientific community by documenting mycological nomenclatural novelties (new names and combinations) and associated data, for example descriptions and illustrations.

MycoBank shortcuts

Searching Mycobank using the basic or the advanced search option is now easier. Bibliography can also be queried.

Any registered user can add new taxa in Mycobank. All taxonomic levels can be added (species or below, genera, families, etc). Login will be needed to proceed.

Pairwise sequence alignments against reference databases

This option allows using several criteria (morphology, physiology, molecular, etc) to obtain an identification.

Even if the use of Mycobank is quite trivial, we have created a few movies to help visitors.

This new version of the website was released a few days ago. We hope that it will be even more easy to search or deposit information. This new version of Mycobank will allow to provide better and more interactive services to the mycological community. A number of new tools will be released soon so keep tuned !
