Abstract:Gasteroid fungi are still poorly known in Brazil and studies are scarce. Although the Brazilian Amazon rainforest is a highly concentrated biodiversity area, few gasteromycete specimens have been reported from this ecosystem. During field work in the state of Rondônia, Northern Brazil, specimens of gasteroid fungi were collected and identified. Cyathus amazonicus is described here as a new species, while Phallus indusiatus and Geastrum fimbriatum are newly recorded from the Brazilian Amazon rainforest.
