Abstract:Inocybe spuria, a new species in section Rimosae is here described. It is similar to I. squamata but differs in having narrower spores. In Scandinavia there are known records from the boreal region of Sweden, Finland and Norway. Sequence comparison in Genbank indicates that it also occur in boreal to sub-boreal regions of North America. Inocybe squamata is in Scandinavia only known from the nemoral and hemiboreal regions.
