Abstract:— An interesting microfungus collected on dead plant material in the mountains range “Cerro El Ávila” and tropical forest “Parque Nacional Canaima”, Venezuela, is described and illustrated. Scolecobeltrania vermispora gen. & sp. nov., is characterized by macronematous, branched, conidiophores, with polyblastic conidiogenous cells and vermiform to sigmoid, unicellular, pale brown conidia, with up to 11 evident hyaline transverse bands
