Description:549. HEXAGONIA NITIDA DR. et M., - Fl. Alg. ined., Atl., t. 33, f. 1. - pileo coriaceo dimidiato semiorbiculari supra convexo glabertimo nitente umbrino-fuligineo sulcis concentricis obscurioribus zonato; alveolis amplis e rotundo hexagonis profundis glabris nigricantibus.
HAB. Ad truncos Ilicis in Pyrenaeis: IPSE; Quercus Ballotae vero in Algeria: DURIEU.
DESC. Pileus crassus, semiorbicularis, sessilis, 7-9 centim. latus, 4 centim. longus, supra modice convexus, umbrino-fuliginosus, nitidus, postice azonus, obscurior, a medio ad marginem acutiusculum usque sulcis concentricis exaratus, subtus (in speciminibus pyrenaicis) subplanus, (in atlanticis) ad basin gibbosus, ita ut sectione verticali divisus triqueter appareat. Alveoli ampli, fere 2 millim. lati, profundi, posteriores longissimi, glabri, pileo concolores aut et obscuriores, dissepimentis validis ore attenuato-obtusis. Caro pilei tenuissima, vix millimetrum crassa. Contextus fibroso-floccosus, umbrinus, in tramam descendens.
OBS. Colore zonisque pilei ab Hexagonia vespacea, glabreitate ab Hexagonia Molkenboerii LEV. distinguenda.
