Description:1767. Agaricus (Stropharia) Percevali, B. & Br.
Pileo viscidulo carnoso ex umbonato explanato ochraceo, hic illic, praecipue margine, albo floccoso; floccis tandem discedentibus; stipite transversim squamoso, sursum cavo pallido; annulo angusto plus minus persistente; lamellis valde distantibus adfixis latis ex albo subcinereis, demum pallide umbrinis.
On sawdust. Wallington, Northumberland, Cecil H. Sp. Perceval.
Pileus 2 inches across; stem 2-3 inches high, attenuated upwards, 1/3-1/2 inch thick at base, 1/4 above; gills inch wide. Flesh of pileus at length dull umber; stem umber within, rooting. Allied to A. squamosus, but abundantly distinct.
