Description:R. archaeosuberis sp. nov.
Pileo crasso duroque, (35) 45-95 (110) mm lato, convexo-umbilicato, irregulari, aetate depresso, cute sicca, margine levi, colore e pallido ochraceo, dein rufobrunneo maculato, lamellis adnatis vel rotundatis, distantibus vel substipatis, pallidis vel subgriseis, aetate maculis rufobrunneis; stipite 28-55 (70) x 10-24 (28) mm, pleno, duro, interne sulcato peiforatoque ad instar R. adustae, albido, aetate rufoochraceo maculato; carne dura, crassa, alba, deinde ochrascente, ape FeSO4 parum colorata, sapore miti, aliquando in lamellis vix acriusculo, odore insensibili, solum in senescentibus ingrato. Sporis in cumulo albissimis, 5,3-6,4 (7) x 4-5 (5,5) µm, sublevibus, verruculis parvissimis, usque ad 0,2-(0,3) µm altis, plerisque non amyloideis. Basidiis 4-sporis, 7-8 µm latis. Cystidiis 4-5 (6) µm latis, in SBA nigrescentibus. Cute hyphis inflatis destituta, pilis 2-4µm latis, dermatocystidiis perparvis, dispersis. Habitatione in silvis mediterraneis rom Quercu suberis. Holotypus: Italia, Tuscania (VT), 6-10-1990, in querceto suberis lectus, in Herb. IB n° 97/790.
