Description:Russula ionochlora Romagn.
Pileo 4,5-6 cm, convexo dein expanso, medio ± umbilicato, margine obtusa, viridi ac violaceo, plerumque esimie variegato. Stipite 3-6 x 1,3-2 cm, subaequali vel difformi, plano, albo, raro subtiliter violaceo in juvenibus tincto, udo maculis flavidis praedito. Carne crassa, firma, alba vel leviter lutescente, interdum subtiliter in partibus pilei erosis roseo colore tincto, odore vix ullo, sapore primum in lamellis acri, deinde dulci. Lamellis tenuibus et primum stipatis, interdum passim furcatis, 5-8 mm latis, sinuato-adnexis, stramineis, fragilibus. Polline sporarum pallidissime cremeo (B, C Crawshay). Sporis 5,7-7,2 x 4,7-5,7 µm, verrucis brevibus, singularibus vel in parvas cristas confluentibus, non vere reticulatis. Basidiis (32)-45-48 x 6,7-9 µm. Cystidiis ± fusiformibus, 50-75 x 6,7-10,7 µm. Epicute pilis septatis, interdum superne attenuatis, usque ad 4,2-7,7 µm latis, dermatocystidiis cylindratis, 4,5-10 µm latis. In silva frondosa, praecipue sub fagis (non sub betulis), haud rara.
