Description:Conidiomata at first half to entirely immersed in the host thallus or apothecia (including disc), often becoming almost superficial when mature, dark brown to black, (40–)48–81(–120) µm diam. (N = 150). Pycnidial wall 5–7 µm thick, composed of compacted entwined short-celled hyphae 2.5–3 µm thick forming a textura intricata. Conidiogenous cells (4.0–)4.8–6.9(–7.5) µm high, (2.0–)2.9–5.1(–6.6) µm wide, ratio height/width (0.7–)1.0–2.2(–3.0) (N = 27). Conidia (4.5–)5.8–6.8(–8.0) — (1.2–)1.6–2.0(–2.6) µm, l/b (2.3–)3.0–4.0(–5.3) (N = 500).
