Basidiome resupinate, hymenophore smooth to porulose, greyish. Hyphal system monomitic, hyphae with clamps, 2-3 µm wide. Cystidia tubular, with obtuse apical part, variable in lenght and about 80-100 x 5-8 µm, thick-walled except in the apical part. Basidia clavate to cylindrical with a median constriction, 15-20 x 4-5 µm, 4-sterigmata, and with a basal clamp. Basidiospores cylindrical to allantoid, 5.5-6.5 x 2-2.2(2.5) µm, smooth, thin-walled, IKI-.
Distribution in Europe: Estonia, France, Croatia, Austria, Germany, Romania, Sweden, Italy, Denmark, Norway, Switzerland, Finland, and Spain. Very rare species in Italy, it is known one collecting area from Emilia-Romagna Region.
Substrata: on Castanea sativa.
