Description:Trechispora microspora (P. Karst.) Liberta, Taxon 15(8): 319, 1966.
Bas.: Grandinia microspora P. Karst., Bidr. Känn. Finl. Nat. Folk 48: 365, 1889.
Basidiome resupinate, effused, fragile, arachnoid to porulose, hymenophore smooth to granular, margin fibrillose. Hyphal system monomitic, hyphae with clamps, thin-walled, frequently with ampullate septa, 2-4 µm wide, encrusted with numerous acerose crystals. Cystidia absent. Basidia shortly cylindrical, with a slight median constriction, 8-10 x 4-5 µm, with 4-sterigmata, and a basal clamp. Basidiospores subglobose, with an evident apiculus, 4-4.5 x 3-3.5 µm, verrucose, with distinct walls, IKI-.
Distribution in Europe: Russia, Turkey, Belarus, Croatia, United Kingdom, Belgium, Germany, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Portugal, Sweden, Estonia, France, Italy, Denmark, Norway, Switzerland, Finland, Spain, Ukraine, and the Caucasus. Recorded in Italy from Veneto, Emilia-Romagna and Sardegna.
Substrata: it occurs on Quercus pedunculata, Q. ilex, Pteridium aquilinum, Rosmarinus officinalis, Clematis vitalba, Abies alba, Taxus baccata and on mosses.
