Description:Basidiomata scattered, small to medium sized. Pileus < 30 mm in diam., initially convex to plano-convex, flattening with age, sometimes becoming centrally depressed, glabrous, translucent-striate, grey with a violet to reddish brown tinge. Flesh thin, at margin very thin. Lamellae distant, ventricose, up to 5 mm broad, adnexted to adnate, furcate, initially whitish, greyish to brownish with age, dried ± brownish edge.
Stipe 30 - 70 x 3 - 5 mm, cylindrical, fistulose, glabrous to softly gleaming, grey, slightly darker than the pileus, in young fruiting bodies with brownish hue, base covered with a white mycelium.
Basidia (38.5) 40 - 50 (55) x (8.8) 10 - 15 (16.5) µm, clavate, hyaline, 4-spored, sterigmata up to 10 µm long. Basidiospores (7.5) 8 - 10 x 8 - 11 (7.5) µm, globose to subglobose, Q = 1 - 1.1 (1.25), hyaline, echinulate, echinulae (1.5) 1.7 - 2.5 µm, hilar appendix 2 µm long, two nuclei per basidiospore. Pleurocystidia clavate to flexuose, cheilocystidia clavate-subcapitate (25) 30 - 50 x 3 – 7 (8) µm. Clamp connections present. Pileipellis consists of interwoven radiating hyphae with a few perpendicular clavate hyphal ends.
