Description:Mycelia internal and superficial; hyphae abundant, branched, cylindrical-oblong, 3–7 μm wide, pluriseptate, unconstricted or slightly constricted at septa, irregular outlines with intercalary swellings and outgrowth, subhyaline to pale olivaceous, smooth or minutely verruculose, walls unthickened or slightly thickened. Conidiophores micro- or semimacronematous, arising terminally or laterally from hyphae, solitary, erect, straight, flexuous and slightly to distinctly geniculate-sinuous, filiform or cylindrical to cylindrical- oblong, sometimes subnodulose after sympodial proliferation, swellings up to 5.5 μm, usually unbranched, sometimes once or twice branched, sometimes proliferating at the apex without forming additional loci, 9–100(–150) × 2–5 μm, septate, not constricted at septa, pale to dark olivaceous-brown, smooth, minutely verruculose or irregularly roughwalled, walls slightly thickened. Conidiogenous cells integrated, terminal and intercalary, cylindrical-oblong, slightly to distinctly geniculate-sinuous, sometimes subnodulose, 5–30(–33) × 1.5–4 μm, with 1–6 loci per cell, smooth, sometimes verruculose, conidiogenous loci conspicuous, protuberant, 0.5–1.5 μm diam, thickened and darkened-refractive. Conidia numerous, catenate, in branched chains, branching in all directions or dichotomously, 1–3 conidia in the terminal unbranched part of the chain; small terminal conidia subglobose, obovoid, or ellipsoidal, 1.5–7 × (1–)2–4(–5) μm (mean ± SD = 5.0 ± 0.7 × 3.3 ± 0.5 μm), aseptate, subhyaline or pale olivaceous, apex broadly rounded, base attenuated; intercalary conidia limoniform, ellipsoidal, or subcylindrical, 5–7(–9) × 2.5–4.5 μm (mean ± SD = 6.2 ± 0.6 × 3.5 ± 0.3 μm), 0–1-septate, with 1–2 distal hila, pale to medium olivaceous-brown, irregularly reticulate with embossed stripes or slightly to distinctly reticulate, walls thickened, attenuated towards apex and base; secondary ramoconidia subcylindrical to cylindricaloblong, 5–8.5 × 1.5–4(–5) μm (mean ± SD = 7.6 ± 0.9 × 3.5 ± 0.7 μm), 0–1-septate, with 2–4 distal hila; under SEM, surface with irregularly reticulate or asperulate structures and embossed stripes, walls thickened, hila conspicuous, protuberant, subdenticulate, 0.5–1.2 μm diam, thickened and darkened-refractive; microcyclic conidiogenesis not observed.
