Description:Fungus—in nature is an endophyte of Douglas maple (Acer glabrum var. douglasii ). Colonies—on most media are slow growing, smooth, mostly lacking aerial hyphae, creamy to white, and slimy. Conidiophores—hyaline, branched, septate, and filiform. Conidiogenous cells—holoblastic, budding to form rod-like conidia 2.2–8.4×0.8–1.8 μm. Sclerotia—solid and dark 200–400 μm formed on oatmeal agar containing some conidia. Antifungal activity— the fungus was broadly antifungal.
