Description:Fruitbody. — Basidiocarps annual, resupinate to effused-reflexed, coriaceous, without odor or taste when fresh, corky upon drying, up to 20 cm long, 2 cm wide, and 1 mm thick. Hymenophoral surface cream to pale buff when fresh, buff to straw-colored when dry; hymenophore usually irregular hydnoid to labyrinth, sometimes the separate plates occasionally fuse to poroid, 3–4 per mm; dissepiments thin, entire to lacerate. Margin distinct, white to cream, cottony, sometimes thinning out and fimbriate, up to 2 mm wide. Subiculum thin, corky, cream to pale buff when dry, less than 0.5 mm. Tubes layer shallow, concolorous with hymenophore surface, fragile when dry, ca. 0.5 mm long. Hyphal structure. — Hyphal system dimitic; generative hyphae bearing clamp connections, skeletal hyphae IKI–, CB+; tissue unchanged in KOH. Subiculum. — Dominated by skeletal hyphae; generative hyphae hyaline, thin-walled, occasionally branched, 2–2.5 µm diam; skeletal hyphae hyaline, thick-walled to subsolid, straight to flexuous, occasionally branched, interwoven, 2–3 µm diam. Tube. — Generative hyphae hyaline, thin-walled, occasionally branched, 1.8–2.5 μm diam; skeletal hyphae dominant, hyaline, thick-walled to subsolid, occasionally branched, interwoven, 2.5–3.5 μm diam. Cystidia of two kinds; skeletoystidia numerous, clavate to subulate, thick-walled, originated from trama, embedded or projecting, upper part heavily encrusted, 15–38  5–9 µm (with encrustation); cystidia clavate, thin-walled, originated from subhymenium, with fine crustation on the top, 17–20 × 6–7 μm; basidia clavate, bearing four sterigmata and a clamp connection at the base, 12–14 × 4–5.5 μm; basidioles in shape similar to basidia, but slightly smaller. Spores. — Basidiospores ellipsoid, hyaline, thin-walled, smooth, IKI–, CB–, (3.9–)4–4.5 × 2.7–3.1(–3.3) μm, L = 4.17 μm, W = 2.95 μm, Q = 1.39–1.42 (n=60/2).
