Number of journals reduced
The number of journals to choose from on the Bibliography page was reduced to make selection easier. If the name you need is not in the list, just type the name in the next field.
MycoBank number returned in last screen
After you registered a new name, a mail is sent to you containing the MycoBank number. This MycoBank number is now also shown with the message that confirms the registration.

Descriptions anamorph or teleomorph also displayed
Now, if the data for an anamorph name are displayed, and descriptions for the teleomorph name are available, these descriptions will also be displayed (and vice-versa). For an example see Hypocrea alni

Links to pictures of lichens added
Links to more than 250 images on the site 'MushroomHobby' by Dimitar Bojantchev have been added, see for example Cortinarius cinnamomeus

Search options expanded
Besides the Basic Search and the Standard Search, an Advanced Search is also available. It allows you to add many search arguments, and combine them using AND, OR and NOT-operators.

New version of MycoBank software
A new version of the MycoBank software has been installed. Improvements:
| | A new 'Search names' screen has been added, besides the Basic Search a Standard Search is now also available that has more search options |
| | A function 'Release names' (menu 'Tools') allows you to release names you registered by specifying volume and page numbers |
| | You can now directly update names that you registered, changes are visible immediately |
| | The login panel is only shown when you ask for it (menu 'Login'), or when you start a function for which login is needed |

We have added this News page to keep you informed on developments in MycoBank.

'Copy from previous' button added
To speed up data entry, we have added a button 'copy from previous' to the literature screen. The button is not visible when you register the first new name in a session, but it is visible with all subsequent names.
When you press the button, all literature data from the previous name you entered are copied into the screen. If necessary, you can modify fields, but often you may be entering several names that will be published in one article, so from now on you only need to enter the literature data once in such a case.
