Hyphal system monomitic. Subiculum very thin, a compact, more or less agglutinated textura intricata, hyphae (2.5-)4-7 µm diam, thin walled or walls up to 1 µm thick, smooth or encrusted with hyaline crystals, simple septate, rarely nodose septate; subhymenium a compact textura intricata-porrecta oriented more or lessµm perpendicular to substrate, hyphae 2.5-4 µm diam, thin walled, hyaline, smooth, branching usually at right angles, simple septate; cystidia lacking; basidia clavate, (25-)30-40 x 5-)5-7 µm, hyaline, thin walled, 4-sterigmate, sterigmata up to 6 µm long; basidiospores 5-7 x 2.5-3(-3.5) µm, narrowly ellipsoid, adaxially flattened, hyaline, thin walled, Melzer's -, acyanophilous. Habitat: On hardwood branches and twigs and occasionally on herbaceous stems; associated with a white rot. Distribution: Uncommon but apparently worldwide. |
