 Remarks:The type of the basionym was located at Kew. The K(M) number is 181764. The protologue (Ann. Mag. nat. Hist., Ser. 2 12: 424 (1853)) mentions both Curtis and Ravenel (see However, the packet only has the name of the species, locality (as Car. Inf.), collection number 2878 (which Dr Dennis attributed to Curtis), and a sticker to say it came from ex herbarium Berkeley (with also the number 1605).
